OVERVIEW
Willow was on a mission to eradicate human trafficking where it is most prevalent, sub-Saharan Africa. Uganda, to be more geo-specific. Willow had a “special sauce” as we liked to call it; they did not kick down doors and go full Liam Neeson on traffickers. Instead, the human rights non-profit focused on restoring victims to spiritual, emotional, and physical soundness and sanity.
WILLOW IS HOPE ANNUAL FUNDRAISER
In 2020, due to the pandemic, Willow’s annual fundraiser, Willow Is Hope, was forced to go virtual. Songwriter Tiffany Thompson penned our Anthem, “Human Life,” and I produced this anthemic piece for the event. I also play banjo and bass in the video. Working with a team in Uganda, I was able to get survivors of trafficking to take part as well. The virtual event drew more than 1,000 live viewers and the organization raised over $350,000 in one night.
